The private beach area was idyllic and perfectly maintained.
The lack of security led to several thefts in the parking area, alarming.

great location great staff convenient restaurant if you feel like staying home. a heavenly beach & surf near the end ( or beginning of the beach ) so it was pretty quiet. parking was convenient with our car atm across the street was nice.
room was a bit small, but not a big deal no a/c, but didn't need it due to the location of the room getting nice cross breeze & good overhead fan the coffee was instant; gotta work on that......

great access to beach and attractions while feeling serene
I loved waking up to breakfast delivered right to my patio while enjoying the ocean views from my spacious room, and the beach provided a perfect private getaway for relaxation. It's also just a few steps to local restaurants and activities.

The hotel is very simple and has a beautiful private beach. The location is great and near many shops/restaurants.
This hotel is very very rustic. There were many little bugs and critters in our room. This is definitely not a luxury hotel with many frills. It is very simple and average cleanliness.

Friendly and helpful staff.
The room was dingy, dusty, and the lighting was terrible. The flimsy door made me drag a table in front of it at night, and I had to use a towel under the door to keep out massive bugs. I felt uneasy the entire time and constantly struggled to get towels from the front desk. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff was exceptional from the moment we got there. The room was amazing and the location was our favorite part. So close to the main strip of hotels, and the Ruins. We enjoyed having a more private beach. Would 100% recommend!

Staff was great, would stay again.
We didn't like the mosquitoes so be sure to bring repellant. Its a beach side hotel, be prepared for sand everywhere!

It was just a well-suited match for getting around the area in Tulum with high value for money. The beach was beautiful, with staff cleaning up the seaweed each morning, great to relax in the sun without any hassle. Bring cash in pesos. It made transactions a lot easier.

The food at the hotel restaurant was fabulous and the staff were excellent.
The worst thing of all and the one no one prepared us for was the hotel runs only on solar power so the power goes out almost every night. 3 out of 5 nights we lost electricity entirely. Since the rooms have no A/C (another problem) and are only cooled with freestanding fans, with no electricity to power them, we were left to swelter in the stagnant steamy room for hours which made it almost impossible to sleep. Would not stay here again because of it. All hotels in Tulum are not the same.

The restaurant staff - Damian , Angelo and Fernado were very friendly and accommodating at the beach and pool. Both the owner of the restaurant Mivida and hotel were welcoming and on site. The location of the hotel and beach as well as the food at Mivida was amazing. Our friends were engaged on the trip and the staff went out of the way to set up and provide an exceptional setting and meal for the occassion. Will definitely return.
If you are high maintance and need A/C don't stay here. We had a wonderful breeze off the beach at night and with windows /screen door open we had no issue sleeping.

cozy beach stay but needs better pool seating
We enjoyed a cozy king room with partial sea view and appreciated the calmness of the beach. The homemade pasta at the restaurant was really good. The quaint atmosphere deeply resonates with families, especially the garden view that enhances the overall tranquility of the experience.
Better seating options around the pool area would improve relaxation.

Cutest little place, we loved the decor. Along the tourist stretch, on the beach (but a smaller beach, further down than the main beach), lots of sun/deck chairs to lounge around on, and a nice lookout on the rock. Bike rental 100 pesos/day just next door. Staff overall quite helpful especially Augustine on reception always does his best. overall it was great - spent a few nights in Tulum in the town and a few nights on the beach.
Remember it's an eco-hotel, there's no air conditioning. The other rooms in the hotel get a lot of the sea breeze and are probably fine, but ours was closer to reception and even with 2 fans on and the window open was STINKING HOT - my friend gave up and slept outside on a hammock :/ - which could be a perk, hotel staff offered to wake us up in the middle of the night if the turtles came up to nest. pro/con - it's on the beach, but that means a taxi into the city (~70 pesos each way, if you want to get non-resort food!) and a walk/bike/taxi to the main beach which has longer/bigger/clearer beach.

Amazing hotel, small but perfectly formed. The staff were all incredible, couldn't do enough to help us whenever we needed anything. They also made us feel so welcome and part of the village. The small beach is a real bonus too, quiet without being boring. A 10 minute walk takes you to the bigger longer beach with plenty of small hotel beach front bars and activities. It's also a 5 minute taxi to downtown if you want to sample some of the food and drinks there too.
